Academic Anglers Children's Fishing Clinic 2008

Academic Anglers Children’s Fishing Clinic

The Academic Anglers CFC operates for the sole purpose of providing underprivileged, disable and less fortunate children with the opportunity to enjoy our natural surroundings through fishing, outdoor activities and educational programs.

As part of its effort to “Get more children fishing, more often,” the Academic Anglers Fishing Team have teamed with businesses, organizations and volunteers from Florida, Michigan and Virginia to provide several fantastic fishing opportunities for children ages 8 to 16.

These free Children’s Fishing Clinics  take place from April to June, and each provides a day of fishing fun for several hundred kids and their families. The children fishing these events get to catch, release and keep a couple of the fish they catch, they receive a colorful Academic Anglers cap and tee-shirt, and they can KEEP the rod and reel they receive at the end of the event! Pre-registration is required, and the number of kids per event is limited.
